WCET 21st Annual Conference From Oct. 21st to 24th of 2009, WCET (Western Cooperative for Education Telecommunications) 21st Annual Conference was held in Denver, Colorado, America.

 WCET, which was established in 1989, is a membership cooperative of institutions and organizations dedicated to advancing access and excellence in higher education through the innovative use of technology. The topics of this conference include:
(1) Virtual Worlds Workshop
(2) E-Science as a Lens on the World
(3) Questions. Methods. Results. Reshaping the Future of E-Learning Research
(4) Perfect Storm or Perfect Opportunity for Higher Education
(5) The Urgency of Open Education: Cheap Thrills, Participatory Culture and Working Social Media
 
Besides WCET member universities, the representatives from different countries participated in the conference as well. At the conference, the representatives of some universities, including the University of Washington eScience Institute, the University of Memphis, the University of British Columbia, the University of Virginia and so on, did presentations.
 
Dr. Fun-Den Wang, the chairman of CORE, joined in the conference and discussed the possible cooperation with other participants.
