They are to be released by July, 2005.Translation of another 45 courses have been 50% completed, to be released by the end of October 2005. 35 out of the 170 course materials are being used in classes and all the 170 courses will be utilized starting this fall.
Organized CORE Website, and connected to a large number of learning Sites: A bilingual English and Chinese website has been established and is in operation. It is connected to 1,600 learning sites spread all over China, including the remote areas.
Hosted Annual Conferences: An annual Conference was held in Shanghai Jiaotong University. Six Pioneer Awards were presented to OCW distinguished recipients. The 2005 Annual meeting in Xi'an is being planned for the coming October. These Conferences and Awards are extremely important in communicating the availability of the OCW material to the potential users and recognizing those who have contributed, as a means of encouraging additional contributions from a broader range of participants.

| As we increase the number of the current membership of 100 universities with over 5 million students, the continuing input of CORE's efforts toward improving quality education is very bright. With the demonstrated success of this established model, we believe this is an important way to have the OCW materials utilized to benefit the Teaching and Learning population. CORE is pleased to have been able to make this major accomplishment to complement the global OCW movement. |
