Open Education Scholarship has started to accept applicants! Anyone who meets the following requirements can apply for it now:

Statement of Eligibility

1. Teachers or students, who are actively doing comparative studies among traditional education, distance education,, open education, the role of open education in the present education system and its contribution to education, the confronting challenges of open education in its sustainability and educational reforms in digital era, are eligible for this scholarship..

2. The amount of scholarship is up to 5000 RMB depending on the quality of the study.

3. The number of candidates will be 10-30: 5-15 candidates will be chosen from Lead Universities and Member Universities of CORE. The rest from other universities or colleges in China.

Scholarship Application Procedures:

1. Applicants should submit the scholarship application after it ratified by the university Teaching Affairs Office or Student Union.

2. Applicants should firstly choose directions, topics for the studies, then make specific outlines and give brief introductions.

3. Two letters of recommendation are required in the application form.

4. First half of the scholarship will be awarded after confirmation. Second half will be awarded upon the completion of research paper. A progress report should be provided in the third month. The research paper must be finished at the end of the sixth month.

CORE will organize a committee after receiving all the applications. CORE will publicize the list of the award winners and award them after the examining and approving.
