On behalf of IET Foundation and China Open Resources for Education (CORE), as an organizer of the First Conference of Asian MIT iCampus, it¡¯s my great honor to give all participants my warmly welcome.
iCampus is an important part of the movement of global open education. It breaks through the concept of traditional campus, increases the rate of campus resources using, and promotes teaching quality. At the same time, it shares the open courseware, lab management, and campus culture globally. After its establishment, it creates more chances for teachers and students to learn and communicate with each other.
I am happy to see that so many labs and facilities can be shared around the world. It is MIT who pave the first step in the new field.
iCampus shares the advanced lab facilities, teaching methods and educational aids among countries and regions. It decreases the repeated constructions of institutes, saves a lot of money and resources, improves the relationship between universities and colleges, and promotes a lasting peace and common prosperity.
Finally, I wish our conference a great success, and give my best wish to you all.
