Open Educational Accomplishment Award |

The banquet and Award Ceremony of the Third International Forum of Open Education was took place in the Dining Hall of Nanyang International Hotel at 6 :00 in the evening, and the participants from abroad and home attended this banquet. At this grand ceremony, Dr. Fun-Dan Wang, IET Foundation Chairman, Prof. Anne H. Margulies, Program Executive Director of MIT OCW and Prof. Yan Bing, Co-president of China Central Radio and TV University (CRTVU) awarded the Open Educational Accomplishment Awards to the distinguished people who have contributed to open sharing educational resources globally. The winners are Prof. David Wiley from Utah State University, Prof. James D. Yager from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Prof. Sukon Kanchanaraksa from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Prof. Mary Y. Lee from Tufts University, Prof. Chen Gang(Deputy Director, Academic Affairs) from Tsinghua University, Prof. Qiu Jie (Deputy Director, Academic Affairs) from XiĄŻan Jiaotong University, Prof. Zhu Hong (Deputy Director, Academic Affairs) from Dalian University of Technology, Prof. Fang Jin(Deputy Director, Academic Affairs) from Beijing Normal University, Prof. Zhang Xinmao(Director, Academic Affairs)from Beijing Jiaotong University and Prof. Li Linshu (Deputy Director, Academic Affairs) from CRTVU. Prof. Zhu Shihua, Co-president of Xi'an Jiaotong University, chaired the ceremony, and academician of Chinese Academy of Science and previous President of China University of Geosciences Zhao Pengda delivered a speech about the winnersĄŻ pioneer stories.
The Open Educational Accomplishment Award is sponsored by IET Foundation, and its mission is to award the people who make outstanding contribution to the open sharing educational resources with the purpose to encourage more educators to actively participate in this undertaking and advance the open Chinese education. |
