 CORE delegation visited Dalian University of Technology (DUT) on Oct. 27. In the afternoon, Academician Ou Jinping, President of Dalian University of Technology met CORE delegation in the VIP hall of Bo Chuan Library. Prof. Zhao Shengchuan, Director for International Cooperation Affairs, Associate Prof. Chen Hongjun, Deputy Director for International Cooperation Affairs, and Prof. Zhu Hong, Director for Academic Affairs office attended the meeting,
President Ou gave CORE delegation a friendly welcome. He briefly introduced the university and asked Chairman Wang about the detailed information of CORE and IET Foundation. President Ou spoke highly of Academic Affairs office¡¯s achievement on the cooperative program with CORE. He said that Academician Cheng Gengdong, former president of Dalian University of Technology had laid a good foundation for cooperation, and he hopes that the cooperation can go further.
Chairman Wang introduced CORE to President Ou, and praised DUT¡¯s achievement on open education. Chairman Wang elaborated on the scheduled Open Education Conference and  several seminars which will be hold at DUT in 2008 and 2007 respectively. President Ou said DUT would cooperate closely with CORE to organize the conferences and seminars.
Prof. Liu Dianqiu, CORE Senior Advisor, and Associate Prof. Huang Meiqi, Administrative Assistant of Chairman discussed with Director Zhu about the detail of the scheduled conference and seminars. |
